Default RTV in AC3?

The title says it all, but I think I should expand a bit.

On Galaxy 23, there is a feed. I have picture but no sound. Usually, that means I need something that decodes ac3 (which I'm not worrying about just yet). However, the data points to this not being a channel with ac3 audio. Anyone else having a no audio issue on that transponder?

Signal quality is superb.

If you mean on 83 west Ku, delete the RTV channels and re-scan.

I know there's several channels on 121W that are in AC3.
I don't recall RTV being there, but I can take a look, What Freq/TP is it on?

OK, that's what scans in as Sino TV KHIZ LA-G2
(Barstow, CA). Doesn't look like RTV at the moment, but it is indeed AC3
Audio. Maybe they have some occassional feeds of RTV at
certain times or sumthin, cause the list has it as:

Code:
806 KHIZ RTV (AC3) Galaxy 23 121°W 3780 V 29270 ITC May 12, 2010
BTW, there are several Mux's running in the clear this weekend, saw
A&E, HIST, BIO, MILITARY, etc. ITC on Galaxy 18 (123W), the Lifetime Mux's ITC on 125W, AMC 11 has some ITC too,
Think they're all AC3 though. Also Mux on 101W, and 131 W are ITC.

I guess I'll be upgrading to a DVB-S2 box in the near future. Decoding AC3 internally is something I would prefer.

Thanks for the info, MT. Now to cut down those stupid trees that are blocking 1/4 of my western arc

LOL, ah yes, them damn trees...Know the feelin. An early fall
snowstorm took care of most of my neighbors, few years ago...
The storm sucked, but the side affects were sweet.

BTW, I just ordered a Prof 3500 USB tuner for the same reason.
