I'm looking to put some in wall speakers in my study. I haven't chosen what speakers I'm going to use but that won't be a problem. My problem is I'm somewhat limited in space and a big receiver wouldn't look very good in the room. I did a google search for in wall receivers and I didn't really find anything that looked like it was decent quality.
Does anybody know of any in wall receivers. Preferably from a well know manufacturer i.e. Yamaha, Denon, Onkyo |

Good luck on that. These things need to breathe. Having it cooped in-wall won't allow enough air-flow- especially if cooling is required at the back.
Have you considered mounting a shelf to save some floor space? |

I haven't seen an "in wall" set, but I have seen one built into a corner cabinet. I expect you could mount almost any recent flat screen set into a frame built into a wall. However, as has been mentioned, you'll have to allow for cooling.

I forgot to mention that I'm trying to connect the speakers to my computer. might there be any other solution to bypass a receiver, such as an amplifier

Try the Yamaha DRX-730. Half width, good amp, doesn't require a lot of cooling space (digital amplifier).
