Default Denon 1910 commercial break

Longtime reader, great information on this site. Now I bought a Denon 1910 and the seller told me that the sound during the commercial break would decrease and when back to the main program, the sound would come back up. It has done that during the first week but now it is the opposite, sound is louder during breaks and lower during main program. I maybe changed something in the settings because I was trying different settings. Can someone tell me how to fix that... it is quite annoying to have to lower the sound during every commercial break.
Thanks

It may be Dynamic Volume adjusting the audio levels

Have you read through the relevant sections of the owners manual to see what settings there are for volume control? Hard to believe they'd include a feature like that and not document it.

I have a 1910 as well, there's definitely no dedicated commercial break functionality on the receiver. However, as bolmsted mentioned you are likely talking about Dynamic Volume. If you turn dynamic volume on, as soon as you go into commercial break and the volume goes up (and for some reason a lot of the stations like to turn up the volume during commercial breaks), or even if you change channels, you'll see the front of the receiver tell you how much it is adjusting volume so that to you the listener, you don't notice a difference.

WestCDA, you should see the Denon owner's manuals, they are horrible! Even if the this function did exist, and it was in the manual, you'd have a hard time finding it. I love my Denon, however it was a pain to set up, and has one of the worst written manuals of all times.

Btw, for all you denon owner's, check out "BATPIG'S "DENON-TO-ENGLISH DICTIONARY" SETUP GUIDE AND FAQ" at http://www.batpigworld.com
