Hi all,
I have a bit of an off topic question regarding how Bell's system actually works and allows channels to work. I understand that the sat dish lnb only recieves a signal and the card and box dictates which chans you can receive How does the signal go back to bell that we ordered a PPV or changed our packaged so they can charge you? Thanks ... Just a general knowledge question |

The PPV request goes to Bell over the phone line if you have it connected to the receiver. Some models now have internet connections for this as well. If neither is connected, you can phone in the order or submit online.

A little clarification.
If you have an internet connection and IP enabled receiver, then ordering a Pay Per View program is almost exactly like Cable except cable uses a private network to communicate back the order to the cable company while satellite uses a public one (the internet!) to communicate the order.
