Nice to see that every race is on TSN or TSN2 this year at a reasonable time. Some of them are still tape delayed though (Sao Paulo, Long Beach, Iowa).

This is good news. It looks like it'll be easier to follow Indycar this year. Hope TSN gets decent enough ratings to keep it on in future years - assuming the series survives.

First race coming up in 2 days (Sunday Mar. 14). On Shaw, TSN2 is showing 'To Be Announced' all day on TSN2. Been checking it for a week or so. How about the other providers? If the guide isn't updated by then, I guess I'll have to set up a manual recording (8:30AM Pacific).

TSN2 will be airing the race live. According to their online schedule (which I find to be the most accurate) coverage will start at 11:30am ET and run through 2:30pm. Originally they were supposed to have an NHL game, but the game has been moved to the main channel.

Looks like TSN2 will air today's rain-delayed IRL race at 10AM Monday...

I like what TSN2 did, they aired half of the indycar race, then switched over to the start of the nashville-chicago game due to the philly-nj being in overtime, then when that was over they switched back to the race exactly where they left off at... no matter whether you were a hockey or racing fan, you did not miss a single minute of action... Bravo TSN on a job well done!!

So, I went down to watch today's race this afternoon after the PVR had been recording for about an hour. Hockey - Damn Hockey! was on TSN. TSN was scheduled to air this race as originally indicated on the TSN website and as per Race Fan TV Listings (still) and as per the Rogers IPG when I set the recording originally a few days ago:

http://www.racefantv.com/CDNTV.htm

Partly my fault since I forgot that I should always record IRL on ABC whenever possible. Missed 1/2 the race dammit! Damn Hockey! Damn TSN! The race is currently airing on TSN2 and ABC.

Musashii, you may have been happy two weeks ago, but I'm not happy this weekend due to the above. I had recorded the race from two weeks ago and was wondering why I had to FF through a bunch of Hockey when I watched the race a few days later after my holiday...

You should switch to Bell. They always showed it as TSN2.

Tongue in cheek, 57, since I know you've surfed the Bell forum.

Even a week ago - when I programmed my PVR? Race Fan is almost always correct and they showed it as TSN even yesterday (and Today)... TSN originally had it as TSN on their IRL schedule link, but that changed recently.

From now on I'll remember to use ABC whenever possible - I now have that written on my IRL schedule...

TSN's schedule changed on Thursday morning, once it was announced that Flyers-Bruins would be on Saturday afternoon. You really can't expect that TSN will keep an IndyCar race on the main network (which would get maybe 100, 000) and push hockey over to TSN2, considering hockey probably pulled in around 700, 000 (maybe a bit less because its May).

There shouldn't be any other last minute changes to TSN's schedule because there will be no more NHL/IndyCar conflicts (except for the Indy 500 and Texas, and those NHL games will be on CBC).

I was wondering why I got the unadulterated ABC feed (with the side-by-side breaks etc.) on the recording I made. If that is the result, TSN can preempt it for hockey any time they want!

The TSN schedule that is linked in the first post shows the Iowa race at 6.30pm on TSN2. The most recent TSN schedule shows it's been moved to 11pm Sunday night on TSN2.

...as indicated by the Racefan link in post 1. I guess this isn't being aired on ABC... RDS has it at 2PM, but I don't subscribe to it. I've edited post 1. The Rogers IPG has it at the new time (11PM).
