So here is the deal for Halifax customers:

GOLF Channel HD will be on 714
RDSHD will be on 772

Each channel was supposed to originally launch with ScoreHD earlier this month but were pulled at the last minute due to "contractual issues."

Eastlink expects both to be available in the near future.

Eastlink Halifax has just added The Score Channel to their HD line-up on channel 712.

The ScoreHD is on 712 here in New Glasgow as well but they sent a message to the box saying it was on 719.

LOL Ellery, read page 1 of this thread then you would have seen that it was already posted by me 2 weeks ago when TheScoreHD was actually added too halifax's HD lineup. Make sure you read things through that way you won't be wasteing your time posting old news.

As for the other 2 channels not added yet I'm kinda surprised that eastlink announced that they would be adding them back in dec you would think they already had all the contractual issues signed beforehand.

Hi Folks

Still no word on RDS HD. as soon as this billing period is over I will be calling again to try to get the same consessions "in lieu of " not getting RDS. As it seemed to be a contracual issue i doubt it can be resloved too quickly. I only wish.
Has anyone else heard about when RDS HD will be available ?

Now come on maritimer555 , how can you expect to get concessions on a channel or channels you don't pay any extra for in the first place? Your just ruining it for everyone else when it comes to new channel announcements from Eastlink in the future. I for one like when they announce channels coming soon. I like to know what is coming down the pipe. I along with most others understand issues arise but to know what's coming is a bonus instead of being left in the dark and not knowing what channels so stop please, don't be calling up looking for concessions because like I said your just going to ruin it for us all because Eastlink will not announce anymore new HD channels coming soon in the future, I can guarantee you that. Your not paying anything extra for RDSHD & GolfHD , there both being added to the basic HD package. If we were paying extra for a channel or channels that haven't launched yet then yes you and the rest of us have a right to call in to get concessions but to get concessions on channels that have no effect on the pricing of your bill is just well being cheap and I mean no disrespect to you. Have some patience my friend , these channels will get added as soon as Eastlink is able to launch them which I am sure is very soon. Also we have the 2 new TMN HD channels(MXSHD & MFunHD) that are coming soon for those who subscribe to TMN.

I agree jimbo42, it's nice when we are in the knowing of what is coming soon and I'm afraid if people like maritimer555 are calling up looking for consessions on something that does not affect their bill,which is really ludicris, I'm afraid eastlink will no longer announce new channels coming in the future.

Nothing 'NEW' NEW to report here, however:

Sportsnet Ontario/Pacific HD, SunTV HD, and Mpix HD have FINALLY been added to the Amherst system.

Well let me tell you that you aren't missing anything on SunHD. That channel as far as I am concerned is a big waste of HD bandwidth. I'd go as far to say 99% of the programming is SD 4:3 programming and 1% HD programming. None of the movies they show on there are in HD, not one, there all SD 4:3 format. I really wish Eastlink reevaluated that HD channel. It's aweful as an HD channel and yeah you'll get some maybe in here that say some of the 4:3 program PQ looks great but unfortunately that's not why we have HD channels for and that summary is nonsense.

We don't even have SUNtv in SD.... SO I doubt I am missing much anyway.

Here in Halifax the 2 new TMN channels, MFunHD(673) & MXSHD(674) have just been added. Also GolfHD(714) & a surprise channel SNWHD(SportsnetWest)(702) added today. RDSHD is the only channel missing now and that will probably be added very soon.

UPDATE: Just noticed they added 4 more SSP HD channels also HDSP4(493), HDSP7(496), HDSP8(497), HDSP9(498) so that makes a total of 8 more new HD channels added today. I believe that makes a total of 55 HD channels now available on Eastlink, nice work Eastlink keep it up

Looks like we are going to be getting even more HD channels added , I have this from a very reliable source. I wasn't going to say anything but on Eastlinks website there is a flash ad about the HD offerings and also at the end it says "more HD coming" so I decided to post that I do know there are more HD channels being added soon and also throughout the rest of the year also so it looks like we will have a very nice amount of HD offerings on par or better than any other provider in Canada.

MovietimeHD can be added to your list also.

Eastlink sources there HD from Shaw, Bell and Rogers. They also have channels that are direct feeds without any middlemen(Rogers,Bell,Shaw) involved.

I havent been on this forumn in some time. i want to clarify to jimbo and newone re my looking for consessions.
I should explain i switched to eastlink on the pronise they would evetaully get RDS HD. So when they annouced it i was happy except its now May, almost a year later and i still dont have it.
so i am actually paying more money to eastlink for less service. thats why i asked for consessions.
I hope that explains it.
What they advertise and what they deleiver has consistently been a huge differnece.
