On those 20GB refurbs from FS, check the manufacturing date first....at least make sure that it's a Falcon.....14.x amps on the label above the MADE IN CHINA.

Just bought the $129 Arcade console with a Jasper....manufacturered in Oct xx 2009. My Xenon from 2006 has been acting up lately.

I picked up a Jasper Arcade today, manufactured Dec 30, 2009, so it's a relatively new build. Seems as though thr $129 price is all retailers as I just saw an MS ad stating the $129 price until March 19th. Pretty darn good price for a 360 in my opinion.

If anyone is interested, Eb Games has a promo right now where you can trade in an old Xbox 360 and get an additional trade-in credit of $75 on top of the $35 trade value when buying a new console. In essence, you can trade in any old (must be working) Xbox 360 for a new Arcade version and only have to pay an additional $20. You only need to include the console, a/v cables, power supply, and 1 controller. You can keep everything else including HDD's. I just did it today with the refurb I bought at FS for $99. Nice way to upgrade to a new Jasper.

Hi, so what is the advantage of a Jasper system?
If I did this deal would it mean I get a new warranty too?

My xbox is three years old. This seems like a pretty cheap way to buy a new one.

Charlie3133, Jaspers have much less chance of failure due to RROD and are considered the highest quality systems you can get. And yes, you get the normal 1 year express/3 year RROD warranty on the new system.

Read that the Falcons have failure rates of about 10%. Jaspers is reportedly at around 3%.

Can't believe that MS limited their warranty on RROD to 3 years....should be longer, if not unlimited.

I see Walmart has a special for the Tuesday release of Just Cause 2 for the XBOX 360 and PS3 of $39.99. Some good early reviews. Anyone?

-2 for $40 on PS3 Greatest Hits this week @ Best Buy (I'm picking up God of War Collection and Killzone 2)
-Bioshock 2 (PS3/Xbox360) for $40 @ Futureshop
-Xbox360 Elite Bundle for $299 (normal price) with 5 extra games (Stranglehold, Mirror's Edge, Jericho, Prince of Persia and Fable 2) @ Futureshop
-$40 for 12 month Xbox Live subscription @ Both

Also, while not a AAA deal, I found several sealed copies of X3: Gold Edition for $10 at my local EB Games in Whitby. It is a great game if you are into space combat sims and that is a great price for it, especially still sealed at EB. I went to the counter with the roughed up box from the shelf thinking that's what I would get priced @ $30 but when the CSR looked it up she said it was only $10 and reached behind the counter where I saw several sealed copies.
