I've got over half a season from last year and all of this season still to watch. Threads like this make me wonder if I should free up some space. I'll watch the comments here for another month or so before I decide.

Just watched this week's episode. The only good part of the show was Sylar messing around with pathetic Parkman. (YMMV.)

I like the possible Claire and Gretchen girl-on-girl action! Clarie hasn't said no yet

Seriously though it must be a new theme for major network drama. FlashForward was showing a lot of girl-girl kissing scenes in the last episode.

I'm all for hot girl-on-girl action, but if that's the best they can do for Heroes story-lines or to retain viewers, it's time to wrap things up.

I'm still watching but I got that "jumped the shark" feeling when Gretchen kissed Claire. Looked great on screen but seemed to be reaching as a plot development in the Hero's world; it felt more like cheap grab for ratings.

Cheers,

Well...it's up to you...however...you would never consider making a personal purchase, (Car, TV, Receiver, Paint etc), on only the heresay of people on forums.

Same holds true in this case...I've found it's always better to decide for yourself...(one man's ceiling etc)...

Still watching, mostly out of habit. Don't mind the storylines this season, though I agree with the general consensus that Parkman/Sylar is boring.

As for Sylar himself, I could do without him at this stage. No reason a new villain couldn't take his place. Samuel (carny guy) seems interesting enough, for example.

To me the biggest thing contributing to the drop-off is that they're really missing the "cliff-hanger" endings from the first season. Pretty much every episode that season ended with a "Wow!". Now...it's more of an "oh" (e.g. the most recent one with Parkman/Sylar...or did it end with Samuel and the police station?...pretty much demonstrates how the endings don't grab like they used to).

Another problem is that Sylar is still one of the main villains. First season, all the villains were new. Sylar's continually involved, and it gets repetitious. Get past that, and maybe the cliff hangers would regain that "Wow" factor.

I failed to watch a single episode over the summer, so I suspect I have already hit my ceiling....

cheers.

I have decided to stop watching because i realized that the show will never improve. The narrative is hurt by having too many storylines spread out and having them advance every three episodes. No wonder nothing seems to be happening. Shows with large ensemble casts are great when they are interacting with each other constantly, not all separate in their little corners.

The writing still sucks and i'm tired of having the characters reset at the end of each season.

Im getting really really tired of the one power peter. He has to heal hiro then snag his power and then go back in time and tell himself to not touch his father at any cost. Or he has to steal sylar's empath ability and viola. One or the other and it has to be soon. Im also getting tired of the mindless sylar. Him & Peter have to get back to their A games and stay that way.

Gawd, this week's show was terrible.

This show aggravates me so much. I thought it had come back a bit and then last nights show. I think it was my last.

Agreed! I too feel that the show has taken a turn for the worst.... like you said Hugh, it "had me there" for a couple of episodes but I too think this may be my last viewing.

When Parkman killed himself/Sylar's conscious I was hoping that storyline would end, I guess not. The problem with Heroes this year is that nobody has a clue where it is going, there is nothing to look forward to. The Peter storyline is just boring, nothing is happening there; the Claire one is somewhat more interesting, but not a lot; the Parkman one is just stupid; and the Carnival one is interesting, probably only because Robert Knepper is one of my favourite actors.

I too realized a few days ago that watching Heroes had become a chore rather than a pleasure, so I dropped it from my PVR schedule.

After starting to catch up on our TV shows over the past two weeks, my brother and I decided to drop Heroes off our list (despite still having an episode to watch).

It's not going anywhere, and we really don't know a lot about Samuel (or the carnival). What really is their purpose? Who are they? Where's the villain (other than Ray Park?)

Hiro is annoying and should have been killed off in season 1, Peter sucks, did anyone even notice Sylar's (as Nathan) disappearance? (that last one may have been answered recently, I don't know.

Bottom line, this show has really gone downhill. I actually liked season 3 as well, but this season is just boring.
