Default KTXA/KTVT Helicopter install of antenna

Here's the KTXA/KTVT antenna being mounted on the Richland South candelabra in Cedar Hill, Texas (the Dallas-Ft. Worth antenna farm). It was supposed to light up on 14 JAN 2011 but was delayed for a few days due to sleet and ice.

This video was taken last month when the old KDAF analog antenna was removed to make way for the wideband RF-19/RF-29 Dielectric TUM30-O4-14 antenna. The other two top-mounted antennas are KDAF (RF-32) and KSTR (RF-48).

Default Cerro 20 de febrero, Salta, Argentina

This is the main transmitter site for radio, television, mobile telephony and other antennas for the city of Salta in northern Argentina. What a forest of antennas!

Default CKCO Bruce Peninsula

Here is the tower on Bruce Peninsula north of Lion's Head for CKCO retransmission of the Kitchener CTV. Interesting way of shortening the IFL for the microwave hop. Is this common?

Yep, microwaves bounce beautifully and predictably. Their cohesion is so tight that several billboard-like reflectors are used for changing azimuths around mountains, like a pinball machine.

Default Empire State building antennas

By the way, Beautifull photos. Thank's Downbeat

Does someone have photos of the antenna array that was on the former WTC? And where are these antennas located now? I'm asking this because I remember how beautifull these antennas looked from the ground

See ya

Here's a rundown of what took place right after the twin towers fell... the lost signals were switched to many other backup transmitter sites around NYC.

Default CFCN-DT - Calgary - Transitional transmitter.

Channel 36 - 100 Watt Thales DTV transmitter occupies almost half a rack bay.
This small unit was sent to Calgary from it's former home in Vancouver. Guess
folks are now waiting for it's liquid cooled 10 Kw Channel 29 replacement which
is supposed to be on the air in May time.

Default Argentina Antenna site

It almost not believeable how much antennas there are on this mountain.

I just imagine having that much antennas on Mt. Royal in Montreal. We just have one and many people are complaining about it.

See ya folks
