Default Bell Charges me $250 for cancelling my Business line!!!

unbelievable, so I switch to Rogers from Bell to save approx $250 and I get a bill from Bell for $250 for cancelling my local link service which indicates on the bill that it expires in 2025!!!!

Are these people for real!! what a joke!

Our government wants to protect us from everything else, when are they going to start protecting us from these greedy corporations!

Call 'em up and argue. They're well known for doing this kind of stuff.

I am waiting for a call back, lady I spoke to is looking into the my contract, she said it automatically renews every year unless I give them 30 days notice (in my case July)

She told me to look on my aug bill which indicates New unregulated terms of service were sent to me blah blah blah and that my continued order and use blah blah blah

I am pissed, told her I am pulling my home lines out if this sticks.

I know how you feel, the same thing happened to me with my business line and internet line. I tried fighting it but it ended up going nowhere. The contract states that unless you cancel 30 days before the end of your contract you will be automatically re-enrolled. That'll teach me not to read the small print.

Speaking from personal experience it was all listed in the temrs and conditions. It said something like "By signing this contract you agree to an auto renewal of your contract. You may cancell within 60 of the renewal date by calling 1-800-xxx-xxxx. If you cancel out side of this window you will be subject to the following fees: blah blah blah". It cost me almost $1000 to cancel. I fought with Bell for almost a year about this and got nowhere.
