I finished this (on Normal) last night and with a bit of replay have all the trophies and medals except the Hard and Crushing ones.

I know many people online indicate that Hard and Crushing are not that "hard" but I appreciate when a game this good can be scaled for any player, even a middle-aged casual gamer like me. For instance, I'd like to get Demon Souls because of the great reviews and the style of game, but it seems clear that the game is just too unforgiving and not scaleable in it's diffiiculty.

I'm now working through Hard on Uncharted 2 with some cheats on (one hit kills and infinite ammo) to see about adding those trophies.

Great game! Anybody with a PS3 should try this.

Finished this last night. What an experience. Going to replay now on Hard then Crushing to get the Platinum trophy.

When you complete the game it unlocks a bunch of features, including several player skins. There is one called Doughnut Drake which is an overweight version of Drake's character skin. When you play using the skin it even pitches down his voice, it's hilarious.

For anyone replaying for trophies, it's worth buying the Fast Motion tweak as it speeds the gameplay up. It's great

I think my game session is buggy.

I think I'm towards the end of chapter 22 -

I've taken out the RPG guy in the tower, the tower, and the snipers in the other towers. I've taken out the guys that pour out and try to cross the bridge. I took out the sniper that camps out on the bridge. I can't see anyone else, and there are no red laser tracking lights shining on me. But Elena still thinks there is someone out there. She keeps shooting at something, but when I try to look where she is shooting via the sniper scope there's nothing there. I can't cross over to the main part of the bridge. If I try a mysterious bullet flies out from nowhere and kills me...

So, for now I've moved on to other games.

That's really strange. Maybe chapter select and start the chapter right from the beginning?

For someone who is new to the PS3 and who is absolutely LOVING Uncharted 2 in terms of story, ease of play etc., can any of you recommend other games that I might like as well??

I've heard these are excellent, but are they suitable for noobs like me?:
- Modern Warfare 2
- Metal Gear Solid
- Uncharted 1

Thanks!

Definitely Uncharted 1. Metal Gear - maybe not. It isn't an easy game to pick up and play.

The PS3 Prince of Persia was pretty easy to learn. Kind of similar mix of action and story, but more platforming. Possibly Assassin's Creed as well.

I'll second the Prince of Persia recommendation. I played it on my 360 and it's a great game if you love platforming type games where the focus isn't on shooting or fighting enemies. Then again I love games where you have to figure out ways to collect things.

I'm also enjoying Little Big Planet on my PS3. The Metal Gear Solid levels that came with the Game of the Year edition were quite fun to play.

You may want to check out the recent Batman game as well. Good story, great graphics, and it's tons of fun!

Pick up Uncharted 1 as well. It's not quite as good graphically (still looks very nice), but the story is awesome, and the game is great.

petespee,

As Gord said, DEFINITELY check out Batman: Arkham Asylum. The surprise hit of the year for me.

Other 3rd person perspective games to check out would be Dead Space (highly HIGHLY recommend this one and it's been price reduced), Dark Sector, Resident Evil 5, Assassins Creed (can get repetitive) Assassins Creed 2 (which comes out tomorrow, YAAAY!!!), Infamous, Prototype, Grand Theft Auto 4 and as mentioned before, the incredible Metal Gear Solid 4 and Uncharted 1.

First Person wise, go for Killzone 2. Utterly GORGEOUS and better story than Modern Warfare 2. I'd go with Call of Duty 4 over MW2 if you like the series. I'm having fun with MW2 (now that friends can join up), but COD 4 was revolutionary for a fps.

Dead Space is incredible. I just finished it a while ago. The story is great, amazing visuals and gameplay.

elmaj, you should watch the prequel animated film if you haven't yet. It's available through the usual means

How old do you think someone should be to play this game?

Well, there are some swears, and some sexual innuendo, so 15+?
