alternative to PVR 9242 - Canadian TV, Computing and Home Theatre Forums

Hey everyone !

I would like to know if any of you know an alternative to using the PVR to record shows with ExpressVu HD system.
I have a HD BEV system and I would like to know if something else than PVR exists to record and play shows.
I know about the EHD but you always have to go through PVR, right ? Anything else without using PVR ?

Check the "Home Theatre Personal Computer (HTPC) and Media Extenders" section of the forum. DVD recorders and VCRs are other options (but not HD.)
