Actually the issue was over $.20. The cabbie could only give him $1 instead of $1.20 back in change. That was without any tip as well.
Kane's new nickname - 20 cents!

There is more to the story than that.
Some interesting quotes from the cabbie's lawyer downplaying the whole event. http://www.chicagobreakingnews.com/2...blown-out.html Quote:

Did you see the video of the cabbie? He had some pretty good bruising/lacerations on his face and neck. Apparently one of them was choking the driver while one punched him in the face...

Then explain how the victim's lawyer is downplaying the whole incident?

Sounded to me like the cabby's lawyer only indicated the robbery portion of the charges filed may be "overblown" but did not back down on the statement his client filed that led to Buffalo police laying assault charges.
Robbery is a felony and a convection would more than likely keep him out of Canada |

it sounded to me like the whole incident is overblown. Like I said, we don`t know what really happened.
Robbery for 20 cents is felony and can`t get into Canada Beating the crap out of a guy is not and can get into Canada something is wrong there |

In this country monetary crimes are almost always treated harsher than assaults on your fellow human being.
