Waterloo - 1394 Firewire SA8300 - Canadian TV, Computing and Home Theatre Forums

I want to be able to xfer shows recorded on my HD8300 to my computer to save them. The settings screen shows the 1394 firewire port disabled. Called Rogers and they say they cannot help but hinted that it could be enabled somehow.
What should I do if I want to keep a show I recorded by xferring it off this PVR?
