Default Rogers stopped dual HDMI - Component out

I use a Hauppauge HD-PVR which captures at 1080i via component out from my Rogers 8300HD.

I was also running an HDMI out from the 8300HD straight to my Sony 46" LCD TV (also 1080i).

This was working fine, then I noticed I was getting nothing on my HD-PVR. After much troubleshooting, I pulled the HDMI cable and voila - the component output started.

Now I have to set up as:
8300HD component to HD-PVR
HD-PVR component to TV

Not my preferred option as I probably lose some quality versus HDMI.

Did anyone else notice this? How did they effect this change? Silent firmware update?

See the Rogers 8300 HD thread for details as this has been discussed many times.

See "8300HD -Does it allow Component and HDMI output to 2 HDTVs at the same time? (No)": http://www.digitalhome.ca/forum/showthread.php?t=75550
