I think CHEX 22 is not mandatory because it's a very low power station and doesn't reach Toronto. My location in Stouffville is exactly 22 miles from their transmitter.

Only Ottawa area channel that did not transition to digital for September 1st is V télé channel 34; they are still analog for now, they are scheduled to transition November 30, 2011.
After November 30, 2011 there will be two analog stations left in the area that can be received all the time (regardless of tropo. conditions): CKWS 36 from Smith Falls and CJOH 8 from Cornwall (don't know how long they'll keep it alive?). Here is a current list of Ottawa area digital stations. |
