MLS ... No HD this season!!! - Canadian TV, Computing and Home Theatre Forums

I really miss HDNet's Saturday evening broadcasts of the MLS in HD this season. They produced great HD PQ. Either they lost the contract or HDNet is no longer permitted to broadcast the games into Canada. Either way ... it sucks!

This evening's Toronto FC vs. NY Redbull is listed as HD on Sportsnet HD Ontario but clearly is not. It is definitely SD widescreen on my 60" Pioneer ... PQ is horrible. Why cannot they televised the MLS games in HD???

HDNet is not doing any sports this year... they've changed their production output.

Last night's Seattle / San Jose game was in HD on KING 5 NBC Seattle.

This season TFC games have been in wide screen on CBC, but I have not seen any in HD.

I was watching the Toronto FC vs RedBulls game tonight they mentioned that the friendly against Real Madrid on August 7 will be on Goltv and in HD. How is that possible since Goltv does not have an HD channel?
