Default WPXD

According to my conversation with someone at WPXD, they are supposed to complete their move to Southfield and change RF channel to 50 by the end of the year. This should make the station available in SW Ontario.

They also did not know, but assumed the channel 48 translator will be put up for sale shortly after. They have had a digital CP for a while.

I hope Ms. Skinner over at WPXD is right on that. An increased signal on WPXD would be a wonderful christmas gift for the OTA crowd.

As for W48AV, I wonder who has a need for it.

This past weekend i noticed WKBD off the air in the early morning hours, perhaps there was work going on relating to this WPXD move.

I wonder also what a strong RF50 will do to super weak adjacent WNWO around these parts, especially up near Windsor where WPXD would be a torch. WNWO in Toledo actually came in slightly stronger when 50 analog in Southfield shut down in 2009.

I hope the damage to WNWO is minimal. In my area there is a similar case with WDIV on RF 45 and WUPW on RF 46, but both come in great.

W48AV would probably be sold to a religious group (3ABN?), but the ideal situation would be for someone to run it as a local hometown station, with a few subchannels. I wouldn't rule out the Home Shopping Network buying it either. The main issue for that channel is limited coverage area of the digital CP.

Anyone have a date or time frame for this move? Not many more days left before the end of the year...

All I know is it's before the end of the year. No specific date.

Unrelated to WPXD... has anyone had trouble picking up W47DL today? I was searching through and found 0% signal. Not that I miss it though...

Due to the complexity of the situation, they don't want to pin it down any further at this time. They are very excited about the changes and expect many more local viewers to have access to their station after completed.

They will inform me when they have a date, and I'll post it here as soon as I get it.

W47DL is missing for me as well when I was going through the channels earlier today...

I also still cant get a lock on WLPC...

Also talking about religious stations, WUDT, is their application to move to RF 23 still pending at the FCC? Any word on WHNE moving to Oak Park and RF 20 as well?

WUDT's app is pending. The hangup there may be W38DH Toledo, which has a digital CP for 23.

Default TVO 32-1 Windsor

Have those of you in the Windsor market noticed the audio dropouts are not happening anymore??? I've not watched TVO for prolonged periods, but when I have tuned in, I've not had any audio blips like I was a week ago. Still no EPG though.

Tuned it at 7pm, and they are back to 480i SD!!! That was a fairly long duration of 1080i HD they had....but back to square one!

Default W47DL

W47DL is still out. TBN is aware of the issue and is working on fixing it.

Default City TV on channel 31 ?

Anyone else missing channel 31 ( City TV repeater) tonight? Gone.... not even a blip. On the other hand, City on channel 57 is just blasting in, don't even need to move the rotor. Wonder if this is part of the plan of moving to the CN tower. Omni 1 is coming in strong as well. Omni 2 is like it's always been.

Default City TV

I'm not getting CityTV 31 here in Woodstock either and I'm only about 8km from the station.

Confirmed 31-1 is not active.
57-1 is coming in. Not very strong.

My antenna is pointed at Buffalo so I don't receive many from Toronto.
