In the past, DD5.1 audio has been limited to HD channels and TMN-SD. My contact at Astral has advised me that MoviePix will now be providing SD movies in DD5.1. Part of the limitation was also the service providers, which are coming on-line for this functionality. Rogers has the capability.
Be aware that DD5.1 on MPix SD may be slow to start, but the number of movies in DD5.1 will grow with time. To find out more about TMN DD5.1 programming, search this forum for "Astral DD5.1" and you'll find several previous threads. P.S. People who've been watching movies on MPix-HD have probably noticed a lot of movies in DD5.1, even movies that were originally not DD5.1, or even Dolby Pro Logic. These movies have had the audio remixed by the studios to provide DD5.1 audio.
