I want to avoid connecting my Wii directly to my HDTV as it's mounted and the wires are concealed inside the wall. As a result, can I connect my Wii to my Rogers DCT 8300 High Definition PVR cable box? If so, please provide step-by-step instructions. Thanks!

No you can't.
Detailed step by step instructions for hooking up your PVR and Wii to various other devices can be found in their respective manuals.

Actually, You can if you use composite video and analogue audio inputs on the front of the PVR. You can then press the "Source" button on the remote to see that source. You will see "video source auxiliary" displayed briefly on the screen. Remember you'll need to press the source button again to watch the PVR when you're done with the auxiliary source.
I just checked this with my digital camera and the video was displayed. I didn't check the audio, but would assume that it works. If you've got an AV Receiver, you can connect the audio to it instead if desired.

I have tried this in the past. It wont work if you are connected by HDMI..at least it didnt for me...resolution settings I am sure.
On further thought... Was trying to play Donkey Kong virtual games...maybe it was just those that didnt work, as the resolution of the game was pretty low, cant remember if regular wii games worked. |

57 are you using analog or digital out from your 8300?
FWIW, there is definitely no way it would work for Component cable connection which is really what you want for hookup from a Wii to an HDTV

I was using component video from the PVR to the TV for the initial test, however, I just checked using HDMI and that works too (1080i Fixed). Again I used my digital camera and didn't try out the audio.
Although Wiis can use component video cables (at up to 480P I believe), many people don't bother and simply use the composite video (yellow) connection.

The other idea is to buy a component or HDMI switch and hook up everything to the switch.
