Default Rogers Extreme Speeds

I am pretty sure that I am on Rogers Extreme which is supposed to be 10M/1M. But when I run speed tests the best I ever seem to get is about 6M/800k. To get the higher speeds do you need a newer model of modem? Does it depend on the area where you live? I have had the same modem since I switched to Rogers about 4 years ago.

Is there any way to tell exactly what service you have - i.e. Extreme or Express? But I assume that I must be on a better service than express since it is rated at 7M/512k.

Your monthly invoice will tell you or you can go into your subscriber profile

My internet is billed to the company that I work for and it doesn't show up in my services on my Rogers account,.

Try logging into http://rogers.yahoo.com That URL will be redirected to the service URL you are subscribed to. In my case it is aliased to http://express.rogers.yahoo.com/

I know when at my Sisters place who is on Rogers Light she is aliased to the Light URL.

Worth a shot anyway.

I will give that a try - the only problem is that I don't know that I ever set up a Rogers email address. When I switched from Sympatico a few years ago I decided to never use an email address tied to a service provider again so I solely use gmail for my personal email. This way a change of email address is not a barrier to switching ISPs.

Sorry but don't think the rogers.yahoo.com method will help as you get the express.rogers.yahoo.com if you have express level or higher....the lite version is a scaled down version...but it looks like they only have 2 versions...a broadband friendly version (express) and a lite version for bandwidth sensitive bundles.

I would definitely have that checked out...I am on extreme and am consistently between 9-9.8 Mbps

I use speedtest.net toronto test site
