I'll tell you what I'd tell someone who called and asked the question. (BTW, you do need to call for this to occur..)
3.95$ per month per service (Excluding homephone, which is suspended for FREE) - minimum 2 months, max 6 months, occurs only 1 time per year based on start date. Must be with Rogers at least 3 months before putting acct on hold. Acct must be put on pre-auth cheque, pre-auth credit card, or you must pay the amount owing for the TT prior to going away. If your bill cycle goes well into the time that you'll be on hold (Such as bi-monthly or quarterly billing), you'll pay that whole amount provided the due date is before your requested start date. If you've just received your quarterly invoice and you wanna be on hold for just under the entire billing period, you'll have to pay up to the requested date, and the remaining money is canceled out. For that sort of situation, you need to get the amounts from the agent first, so it's indicated in the acct properly so you won't get nipped in the butt if someone calculated it wrong. Any promotions you have will expire automatically when put on hold, and cannot be 'renewed' when the service is reactivated. The TT process only takes 1 call, as we'll activate again automatically on the date you provide. If you come back earlier, call us and it's up and running in 24-48 hours. Let me know if this all makes sense; I usually have customers ask a few questions afterwards so they can get an example based off their services/hold period. |

Thank you for your detail information. I have a rental receiver that cost $12 a month. will I be charged for $12 during seasonal suspension period?
Can I return it for now to keep the cost low? thanks |

You'd still have TV service, so you'd still be paying $3.95 a month for cable suspend.. it'd be best to hang onto the box if you're planning to suspend soon. If it's a few months away, you can call and remove it.
