That's good to know. I have a 260f that I purchased a few years ago and I've noticed that the integrated tuner in my Sharp LCD gets much better reception. I guess I'll hold out for a genearion 6 unit before upgrading!

Thumbs up Very good experience

I was at S&R on Monday while visiting Toronto (I'm from the Windsor area). I emailed them prior to leaving home to ask about the CM4221HD and the CM9521A rotor. They emailed back telling me that the rotor was in very short supply but they had a couple left and would gladly put one aside for me if I was definitely coming to Toronto.

Well, the cynic in me expected the rotor to be sold out when I got there on Monday, but sure enough, they had one put aside for me. It was the last one and they kept it for me. I'm impressed.

Excellent service, friendly people. It was worth the wait to go to S&R.

Cheers!
Kevin in Essex

Hi All,

Went to saveandreplay this Saturday to pick-up a 4221HD & J-mount to replace my home-made SBGH that is sitting in my attic. My version of the SBGH would not last one day outside on the roof (but it has given me awesome reception for the last year)

Instead of building a SBGH that would stand the elements....I figured it was easier for me to go the store bought route.

As others have said....Very Nice People !!!

It was very busy there ...the guy said that it has been that way after all the media coverage. His only regret is that he could not spend as much time with each individual client.

Highly recomended !

Also was there on Saturday and picked up a CM4221HD and J-Mount. But now I think I need a tripod to mount to the roof as I don't think those J-Mount should be use on a slant surface. But lady at saveandreplay said there is no refund. I can understand about the antenna but can anybody confirm if I can exchange it for the tripod? The J-Mount was never used. I can pay the difference off course.

They've also started selling the Centronics ATSC STB with HDMI/Component and TOSLINK digital audio:

I was hoping to find a nice long review on this new ATSC but to my deception, NADA. I guess with the summer closing in, stampeder is slacking off Joke asside, have you got any further info for us, any findings, recommendations? Back then, you have recommended the samsung but I have been to cheap to go with it at the price tag.

Default Purchase Of CM9537 Remote Control

A few weeks ago I purchased a CM9537 Rotor Remote Control unit from a local supplier in Whitby. Upon opening the package (which was suspicious because it came in a plain white box),and setting it up....it did not work.
The price was reasonable $59.(I think it might have been a reconditioned unit)
I returned it and they arranged for a replacement unit to be shipped out. 5 weeks later,I was still waiting (they said that the distributor could not get any from the States).
Anyway, I got fed up waiting ,so I cancelled the order.
I sent an email to Saveandreplay.com and asked if they had any in stock.
I got a reply on Sunday morning (5 minutes after I sent it !) saying they did indeed have a unit in stock for $49.
I called Monday at 1-30pm.....ordered the unit with Mastercard.....and received it today at 12 noon in Oshawa (it was $12 shipping).
Wow !!....I was impressed not only with their prompt reply to my email but the swiftness of their delivery. He was also very friendly and jovial on the phone. The unit works perfectly (and it came in a CM box !)
SHOUT OUT TO SAVEANDREPLAY.COM !

They were great to deal with, and indeed it is a busy little shop.

I picked up my rotor at Save & Replay a couple of weeks back on a Saturday, and they clearly are selling like hotcakes. 3 of us walked out with them and quite a bit of other gear in the 10 minutes I was there, and at least one other person behind me was looking at one as well. All the while, the proprietors were answering questions, phones where they could and still took a few seconds to ensure everyone knew about the products they were getting, and that they really appreciated us coming in. I have to make a special trip out that way when I want things (I'm not really all the keen on internet sales yet), but they sealed up my business handily from a much closer provider given my last, and others recent experiences at that shop.

OTA is a small and shrinking market according to the cable guys? I think they're still ignoring a noticeable OTA resurgence, and Save and Replay are the kind of people I like to see being successful while making it happen!

I stopped by Save and Replay yesterday and chatted with the good folks there for a bit. I have to give a thumbs-up to the folks at Save and Replay. I was mentioning that I'd like to get the DB8 antenna, rotor, etc. They told me to take it 1 step at a time. Start with the antenna and manually move it to see what I can get, just to make sure that there would be a benefit to getting a motor. They are right.

They could have taken advantage of me and sold me lots of gear, but they didn't. They want happy customers. I absolutely will be dealing with them for my over-the-air needs as soon as I get my HDTV set. They took the time to explain things to me, and even took the time to show me some of PanaMark's antenna pictures.

I usually go out to the Mississauga store when I need something but lately I haven't had the time so I ordered it for delivery. It wasn't cheap but considering the cost of gas and the time to get out there and home, I thought I'd try it.

Result: Very happy! I ordered it Wednesday at lunch at when I got home from work on Thursday, it was in my hands!
