Hey GUys,

I just found this forum and the first thing that comes to mind is thanks for telling me about it!!! This is great! Too bad i didnt know about it earlier.

A place where we can talk freely about hdtv without any snide remarks from NTSCrs.

Well I look forward to 2002!

Well, glad to see you here now.

What kind of equipment are you running with? What area are you in?

Hey Guys,

Ive got the following:

Toshiba 50HX70
BEV 6000 HD reciever
BEV 5100 PVR
Toshiba DST3000 receiver (HDTV for DTV)
Panasonic RP91K DVD Player
Sony STR-DE845 Receiver
Panasonic NV-GV0 Multisystem VCR

I will be looking at ROGERS HDTV when I move into new house if its available in that area. I m looking forward to the Super Bowl even though it wont be true hdtv.

Someone mentioned on kusat that it was upconverted 480i? I thought it was announced at 480p? Anyone know if it will be upconverted?

Welcome Dakota, and with that Bell ExpressVu hardware you have, I hope we'll see you in the Bell ExpressVu forum as well.

Dakota, it's definitely being shot, edited and distributed to the affiliates in 480i widescreen. The affiliates will upconvert that to whatever their standard is. That's mostly 480p, but I believe there are a couple of affiliates that use 720p and even one that uses 1080i.
