Corus Radio today announced a free iPhone and iPod touch application that lets users tune into anyone of its 52 radio stations across Canada.

Too bad it's only Corus stations. The Toronto ones I'm familiar with are:

Q 107 (Classic rock). Lots of commercials, boring repetitive playlist, yappy dj's but ok overnight and Sundays.

102.1 The Edge (Newer Rock). Also loads of commercials, yappy dj's but bigger playlist. Still no comparison to the original 102.1 CFNY back in the day!

I would expect the competitors to get off their solid state asses and get apps out soon also. I like this app since it has decent coverage for Vancouver but would like the sports radio also.

Well Corus is not going to pay for an application that lets you tune into competitors stations!

If you're looking for lots of Radio stations worldwide and are willing to pay $5.99 then Wunder Radio is excellent iphone / touch app.
