Default Tumult in CAB Board Office

How sugary sweet they make it sound in this Canadian Association of Broadcasters press release:

http://www.cab-acr.ca/english/update...nouncement.pdf

It was a purge, or else Tina Van Dusen walked out! No matter how it happened, the CAB's Chief Operating Officer is now out of the picture, and 14 executive positions will be changing as people find their new water level in the org chart.

Hopefully they will appoint a new Executive Vice-President in charge of font selection.

Love the first sentence.

Quote:
The Canadian Association of Broadcasters’ Board of Directors today implemented its decision to restructure the CAB as a streamlined and effective advocacy association representing private radio and television broadcasters to the federal government.
translation: We really sucked before so we're toasting everyone and trying again.

Second sentence
Quote:
The renewed organization will operate with reduced resources and a more focused approach to advocacy relating to broadcasting sector policies and copyright matters.
translation: Our members won't give us anymore money and we really didn't know what we were trying to do before.
Quote:
The Board of Directors also announced the cancellation of the CAB convention in Vancouver, scheduled for November of 2009.
translation: I mean it, we really don't have any cash and we are going to have to cancel the annual boondoogle.
