I think so, same as before. I don't have a recorder, so I haven't done it, but have used them before.

Then only issue you could have is copyright, but I think that only affects things with HDMI.

Hook it up and give it a try! the 9241 came with RGB cables...

I record programs on my SD DVD recorder from the 9241 through the composite (Y-W-R) connection with no problems at all.

As other have said, you need to use the Red/White Yellow connections on the 9241 these are SD 480 outputs, then make sure you connect to the INPUT on the DVD Recorder.

I have a DVD recorder hooked up to my 9242 works like a charm.

You can only record SD of course.

My red/white/yellow connections are plugs. I try to plug my connection with red/blue/green connection and still not working. Those second connection red, blue, green where it need to be plug in, dvd + tv or dvd+receiver? I have a sd tv by the way.

Ah, you are using the 9241 on an SD TV.?

Then you will need to get some kind of switch to connect from the Red/White/Yellow that will give you 2 sets of Red/White/Yellow ports, 1 for the TV 1 for the DVD Recorder.

The Component Red/Blue/Green is an HD output and will not be compatible with the inputs of the DVD Recorder.

yes i am using a 9241 on a sd tv? Funny, its not hd my tv but the color is clear. I record a lots so that is why i ask for a hd-pvr(200 hours). so i need another set of red/white/yellow ports. the second set, do i plug it through my dvd+receiver?

Because the first set is plus from my tv and dvd.

You can buy RCA plug splitters (you will need 3) to divide the Y-W-R output from the 9241. One set will go to your DVD recorder and the other set will go to your tv.

These are readily available at electronics stores.

Unless you are archiving to view elsewhere, I would suggest an external hard drive connected to the 9241. Works great.

I don't believe there are green, blue, and red inputs on a SD DVD recorder. DVDs are not high def. Therefore the component inputs are not going to be found. The next best quality is s-video. However, the 9241 does not have s-video out. So you are left with composite - the yellow video cable and the red/white audio. This is why the 9241 sucks compared to the 9242.

Just one of several reasons.

What a pile of crap this box is, what are the chances that if Bell sends me a new one that it wont give me the same issues?

Damn thing keeps freezing! Im missing chunks of my recordings... ugh so frustrating.

The 9241 does have S-video out. I use it to connect to a Pioneer 550 HDD/DVDR.

Are you using HDMI? If so try changing to component, and unplug the HDMI from the receiver (don't leave it plugged in not connected to anything on the other end), see if that helps the freezing. I had HDMI on my old one that was freezing allll the time, got a new one, same thing, got a third one, hooked it up with RGB, and it's been fine (aside from the ongoing audio problems). However, I haven't had time to connect this one with HDMI for a bit to see what it does.... but might have helped.
