Actually I have never had the Bell ones... When I moved to Bell I've installed that by myself using one fix dish with a LNB from a friend to watch HD and another Dish with HH90 and QPH031 for FTA. QPH031 and the old LNB went both thru a SW21.
As I gotta give up on my FTA, I wanted to add a new LNB for Nimiq91 channels... So, I've bought recently a Digiway from Addison.
Most likely it's like a classic situation that shows that sometimes is better to pay more one time than to pay less many times...

It is an SW21 and not a Diseq switch.?

I would grab a Bell 51cm Dish and a DPP Twin LNBF, then you are good to go. Should find teh Dish cheap enough and a DPP Twin for about $40, or a pair of Legacy LNBF's for about the same.

If that doesn't work, try another SW21 switch.

If that doesn't work, there may be an issue with the receiver.

Is is upgraded to the most current software, V170? Use the remote and press MENU, 6, 1, 3 to check.

Check you outdoor cable connections to ensure there is no corrosion, and the copper wire is straight and not bent.
Thanks 46FD04!
Looking at your checklist I realized that everything was working when I was on my roof... so, it is surely something wrong with the cable...
It does not look in very good shape (too rigid). I'll try to replace it.
The other things are good: v170, I've just bought and tried another SW21, no splitter in the way, just an F-type connector (female-to-female) which is inside and looks solid.
I'll check the cable and report back.
Thanks.

Good point on the SW21 Pinza.

Virgil, do a Google search "Dish Network SW21 photos"

Is this the switch you are using?

No need for Google.
Here is the item I've bought yesterday from the shop: http://addison-electronique.com/cata...h/category/54/

This SW21 has been working for years... I have just bought a new (it's true, identical) switch and there was no change. I am pretty sure it's not the sw21 as it was my first suspect.

My dish is the Bell 51cm, but it's not the twin LNBF... That's my next buy afte/r I give up trying everything I can with what I already have.

@46FD04: Still waiting for the moderator to approve my answer for you... It takes time for the pictures.

He-he... We got it. It was the cable.

It is weird though this cable was working fine for one LNB but not for two; and it did that all of the sudden or at least everything was fine when using qph031 + single circ lnb. Most likely it was not good enough to support the bandwidth it takes for the switch to operate properly.

A huge THANK YOU!

You're welcome. Glad to hear you figured it out.

There is so much to remember when dealing with three satellite services (Bell, Dish Network, Shaw, and DirecTV) , that I forgot the obvious.

Make sure the cable is RG6, not RG59.

Old RG59 cable can be very problematic when dealing with switches.
