i have access to an old nexus-s card and i'm wondering with the correct setup what i could pull in.
first is this card still useable? it's listed as a dvb-s card.
would it pull in hd?

i saw on various sites listings of wildfeeds for football etc on amc9, 16, galaxy 17 etc. the listings show dvb-s hd broadcasts.

basically these are the sats i'm looking to pull in.

if the card is useable what dish, lnbs would be required? if it's not, then is there a newer computer card that works for fta hd?

thanks

i did some more digging and it seems that this card can't handle hd streams. so assuming that is the case, i'll need a new card if i want a htpc system. so i'll be looking for recommendations for a new card that meets my requirements.

thanks

Never played with a PCI card. I've looked into it but always stayed with receivers. I especially like my new one that has internet browser etc on it, but that's a different story.

If I was to buy a PCI card I'd get the SkyStar HD2 DVB-S2 PCI Card from our forum sponsor Dr. Sat.

Great price also ($99.99) so I doubt you'd do any better elsewhere.

Good luck.;)
