Default MTS Voice mail problems?

Anybody having problems over the last few days with MTS residential voicemail?

Here is the story of my problem today.

Not sure when my problem started but today I noticed that I don't have the stutter dial tone, message indicator light and outcall notification working. I only found that out because one of the few people that have my cell number called it to see why I was not returning a message to my landline.

Called MTS repair and they had the first two services back up and running in under 20 minutes. Waited over 1 hour and as I did not have the outcall back in service I called to see what the status of the ticket was to be told it was closed as all service had been restored. Apparently the outcall problem had not been specifically noted. only message notification features not working.

Anyhow the test desk calls back and says that I never had this feature and could not get it. I told them it was a grandfathered feature and last worked on July 2. They said that was impossible and to contact the business office on Monday as they would not do anything more without a order ticket.

It's also ironic that I had a call from the business office 2 weeks ago saying they were doing a bulling audit and asking me if I still wanted this feature as it was grandfathered. I told them yes I still used it and they said fine you can keep it but if you change your service you can't get it back. Be interesting to see because someone at MTS lost the feature for me if they can have the test desk restore it.

Its now Wednesday and just finished my 6th phone call to MTS about it not working properly. I have been assured by the CSR in Service that she will send it to their "BEST" test desk person to look at it. As the call was placed before 3:30 I have the feeling the service ticket may end up with the evening shift to look at.

They actually now have it fixed, Apparently there were a few programming problems including somebody in the business office fat fingered the phone number involved.

It's interesting that nobody I have talked to at MTS can tell me what happened though at the start of the week to have my voice mail message light, dial tone stutter and grandfathered outcall notification just go away.

I was told there were no upgrades, patches or system improvements over the weekend that could cause this to happen.

I think that is how their voice mail system works. One thing I hate is getting an important voice mail 3 days after it was sent. Another inconvenience is text messaging that takes a week to deliver. Thought this stuff should be real-time?? At least it used to be... Guess that's progress.

Actually had a few follow up calls from MTS late last week and the repair office admitted there was a problem with their voice system doing the stutter and blinks but whey I was dealing with them they did not know it.

The sales office called up and said they had removed the outcall by mistake, apparently I was the only one of all the customers they called that still used it and they did a remove all instead of individual removes.

It appears that MTS was able to restore the outcall even though the first line customer service reps and repair dept insisted that when it was gone they could not get it back.
