hello i got 2 nuance speakers and i dont understand how to plug it on my receiver because 2 plugs for tweeter and 2 plugs for sub plz help me im confussed

Typically speakers have 4 speaker posts to allow for bi-wiring or bi-amping.

If you don't want to do that, just bridge the terminals. This is often done with little metal plates, but if you don't have those you can use wire.

The Q Sound effect is really cool. Sit in the sweet spot;feel the axe split your head open and then watch the sleigh go around the room.

All this talk about Nuance speakers reminds me of my terrible experience in 2002 when I was at the West Edmonton Mall and walked into that stupid store called SoundSaround. I wanted to check out the Nuance Speakers that all my buddies had gotten rooked into buying. As soon as I stepped into that store a darned leach had attached himself to my wife and my side and would not leave us alone. We stated from the moment we walked in that we were just looking around and weren't interested in buying anything. After about two hours of the leach trying to bleed us to death and giving us the Roger Waters experience, we had him down from $30,000.00 to $8000.00 on those large Grand Speakers without even trying and just simply repeating that we weren't buying anything. All of this resulted in a confrontation and an argument between that leach and I all because I was persistent that I wasn't buying anything. He had his managers working on me as well. After the crappy taste that they left in my mouth with their forceful ways, I felt I had to fight my way out of the store. The only good thing that ever came from that experience was never forgetting that Roger Waters Music.Therefore I finally ordered that CD off of Ebay. Can't wait to hear it again. But darned glad I never bought those overpriced speakers and walked away with my money still in my pocket. I still love my Post Audio speakers That I have had since I was 18 which would be 20 years now. Like I said, I can't wait to hear that CD again. Thanks for sparking the memories!

Hey all just wanted to add to this thread. When I jumped onto the internet in 2000 I found the lack of information about Nuance speakers and the associated scam quite concerning so over the next few years went on a campaign to educate the uninformed buyer. Here's a thread I started in 2004 but the thread was quickly locked, however they never deleted it and I can see that it gets some google hits.

I also started a popular thread over at Home Theater Forum back when I was a active member there because I had recieved an email from the late great George Baker on how to better his company but I knew of course it was just some kiddie pretending to be him.

A lot has changed since the early/mid 2000's and Nuance. George Baker is dead, International Stereo, was charged with breaching Alberta's Fair Trading Act, the speaker company has ceased to exist and all the ******s are currently looking for amps that have died because the "wonderful 10 year warrenty" isn't getting honored. Some people will never figure out just how horrific and what a scam Nuance Audio was, even with all the facts in front of them.

I loathe Nuance speakers, even more than I loathe the other great audio consumer rip-off, Bose. But Nuance are the bigger scam and Baker & Co. made a ton of money mass marketing crappy incredibly overpriced speakers to average Canadians. It was actually rather genius for the simple fact of making them available in high traffic locations ie: Shopping Malls. Nine out of ten people have never actually sat down and listened to a decent hi-fi system and the snakes at Nuance knew this. I listened to Nuance speakers once circa 2001 just to hear for myself (as is stated in the first link) and I was abhorred at what I heard.

Good to see most people on this forum still remember and realize just how much junk they are. The speaker still lives though, I had young neighbors just 2 years ago that had a pair and like many owners, figured they were the best things in the world. And the link earlier to the snowmobile/off road website cracks me up - that's exactly the demographic Nuance was after and the boneheads there, while chasing around the internet for parts for a company that doesn't exist anymore, still haven't figured out they were taken for a ride.

Looking forward to upgrading my Mirage OM-10's this year after 13 years of use (too bad Mirage isn't quite what it once was) to a pair of Magnepan 1.7's driven by a pair of Marantz MA-500 monoblocks. I realize now after some years that I'm into 2 channel music much more than home theater so now frequent the Steve Hoffman forums. Hmmm, maybe I should start a Nuance thread over there :P
