I'm switching all my services away from Rogers and have already started with my iPad plan now on Telus. I just found out that Telus doesn't operate in Ontario with the exception of CityPlace in Toronto. Any plans for Toronto in the near future? They already have the infrastructure at City Place so it's at least feasible that they can expand from there.
Thoughts? |

Not likely.
Carriers usually strike exclusive deals with condo builders. They jump on the backbone from there. They didn't "expand" into the condo, and they can't "expand" out of it. In Ontario, Bell, Rogers and Cogeco are the incumbents. Some would say they have a gentleman's agreement with Telus/Shaw not to operate any wire line services here (at least any other residential). Telus/Shaw only operate wired internet and phone services in Western Canada. Blame your CRTC. |
