Default Samsung 7000 series plasma (2010 model) Unresponsive to IR

Hello all,

Just yesterday this TV started periodically ignoring all remote commands, didn't matter what remote I was using. The little red light that flashes when an IR signal is received didn't waver. Then, after a while, it started responding again. Any thoughts on why it's doing this? I can't think of any reason other than a potential hardware failure of some kind in progress.

Thanks for any responses.

Here's a list of things to check/try - resets, etc:

And here's a thread on IR interference - have you moved anything around, added lights, more light in the room from the sun, etc? The thread is mostly about the TV being the source of the issue, but there are other sources of problems discussed in the same post/thread (CFLs, Sunlight).

Thanks for the response, 57. I was trying to figure out if I changed anything from a lighting perspective, but everything seemed to be business as usual. At the moment, the problem seems to have gone away so I'll consider it a mystery until it crops up again.
