For all we know a main feed/CO was hit by a lightning strike and screwed Aliant TV. Lets all band together complain a lot and "get better service" You figure out how to stop lightning from striking and I'm sure ISP's will use that to better maintain their service. |

The idea too that they don't want your service to be good also puzzles me. It costs them in reputation, time, and money, to take care of such things. If they could they'd have it work 100%. Set it and forget it. The real world frowns upon that though.

I've had a few outages with my TV. Especially that outage that was effecting every one. Sometimes though it seems to randomly occur with just my TV. Overall, the outages aren't that big of a deal... The biggest deal is the lack of channel selection you get and paying an extra $5 for an extra 4 channels (or whatever it is -- you might watch one channel out of the 4) is ridiculous. The only good thing I've seen about FibreOP TV is the screen quality on my 40" Samsung. Some HD programming (such as WWE) looks stunning, I never found the same with Bell Satellite HD, where it was good quality compared to SD, but never looked this vibrant with FibreOP TV.
