All right. This is ridiculous! I need some help here. I saw this yesterday.
It said, "Television signal has been lost". |

And after that your PVR melted to a plastic blob? A little more info would be helpful...

You lost your internet connection (or it slowed down below 5 mbps needed for a stream). Since, Optik TV is IPTV you can't watch TV without the internet. The best thing you can do unplug everything (STBs and Modem), then turn on the modem and then the STB (After you let the modem get it's IP about 20 secs).
This happens from time to time. It's annoying but internet connections do this a lot. |

I get a similar error a few times but only on A&E so I would think it's the feed for that channel, rather than the internet connection, right?

@Rob If it says "Television signal has been lost" then yes it's Telus's signal not being uploaded to you for that channel. So, it's the internet on Telus's end.
However if you get something like "We are looking to restore this channel" and it's a photo being displayed on the channel (not being being black and your STB telling you "Television signal has been lost") then it's Telus losing the feed from however they get it (most likely satellite). |

OptikTV just went down here. The internet is working fine (I'm typing this), but the TV signal is gone. I have three boxes in the house, all 3 can't get a signal.
