I was very satisfied with a speedy completion of a recent order with Amazon Canada, even though I chose the "free shipping" offer. I received my two computer games in less than a week.

I only wish they offered some of the stuff available on the US site though, since there are items on the US site that they refuese to ship to Canada, and in fact, I haven't been able to find in any Canadian online or retail chain. (This example is of a recent computer game)

With our dollar doing well against the US$, I've recently found that many items are now cheaper from Amazon.ca than Amazon.com. I never ship from the US to Canada because of the brokerage fees, but pick things up from my sister who lives near the border in WA. But it is still a drive down there, when we are on the mainland.
I recently ordered some textbooks for my daughter and they were only $3 more in Canada and I didn't have to wait until I was going to the States and then ship them to her myself; they were shipped right to her from ON.
Right now, check out the price difference on the extended blu-ray LOTR that just came out. It's $4 cheaper from Amazon.ca.!!

I've had really good luck with Amazon and extremely fast shipping, usually 2 business days and that's with their free shipping option. I have had only one problem with them so far and it was with an improperly packaged item (surge protector) where the Amazon description was based on the package and in fact the manufacturer was putting the wrong item in the box. No problem returning and no cost to me, actually spoke to a real person there after only 3 minutes of prompting and hold time.

I am a new customer to Amazon Canada, and am very satisfied with the speed of service. I ordered 2 books in the afternoon was delivered the next day. Unfortunately I was not home. They came the following day to my apartment door. The delivery driver refused a tip. I strongly recommend Amazon Canada.

P.S. Anything $25 or more is entitled to free shipping* which is a bonus.

*Some restrictions apply.

Once again, outstanding service, and quick delivery of two books I ordered from Amazon Canada last week. The parcel arrived in under a week, even though I chose "free shipping". I would order from them again anytime.

Ordered a IR relay from Amazon.ca. It came quickly and was actually 10 dollars cheaper than Amazon.com listed the same item. I am very pleased. Item works too.

Ordered laptop computer late in the day last Friday, the 23rd, and received it early today, the 29th. Awesome, speedy delivery, considering that I chose free shipping, and also, considering the post office was closed for two days this week, and the original estimated delivery was January 4th. I should give a thumbs up to Canada Post as well.

Amazon is great in shipping the products out but returning items is a different matter.

I returned a Weeds DVD Season 6 which I paid $16 as purchased the wrong season. I used their return label which you print out from their site. I knew I would have to pay return shipping which they deduct from your refund amount. In this case they deducted $6.98 for return shipping which I thought was a little steep. It was returned in the same shipping material.

Have ordered quite a few times from Amazon.ca and I've been satisfied each and every time. I always buy for the minimum free shipping requirement and always use the free shipping. My last order was here the next day on free shipping. I've ordered everything from books and cd's to bbq brushes. Always well packed and if you happen to pre-order something, they usually ship you both items separately free of charge.

Default Endless broken promises

Preordered in March a DVD concert video set for release on April 19th. Endless emails followed the release date pushing back the shipping date. Last week I got another message "Do you still want the item?"

Yes, I still want the item and it is the right price. But looking on the site page of the product I saw a reviewer who had also not received the item. So I hit "review" and complained about Amazon's tardy service despite the fact that Amazon Markets had oodles of the item. Hmmmmm!! That was yesterday.

Today Tuesday June 19th I got a promised ship date of this Thursday and next day delivery. We'll see.

It seems to me that the Canadian site gets most materials from the US site. I wonder if it would be faster to order through the US.

Amazon.ca did tried to make it up to me. I paid only $11 and change for the total preorder when the item alone is now $16. Included in that $11 was $1.99 for shipping and handling. To my surprise, I got next day delivery from UPS courier ( 3 months after the order date).
