I can't say that I've ever seen any satellite/cable receivers at value village, but they do sell electronics (mostly older TVs, VCRs, CD players, etc)

In a local Value Village to me, they had about 10 or so 9200's in February when I was in there.
I spoke with the store manager and explained that they were no longer any use for Bell TV but made great OTA HD PVR's. He was very understanding and even made a new sign to put in front of them, advising this fact to potential buyers. That was a pleasant change as most times people just do not care. @peano, very good point, I should have mentioned that fact, only the R00 is required. Thanks

Pinza, do you recall how much the 9200s were selling for? If it wasn't too much it would almost be worth it to pick them up just for the hard drives.

Well, as listed for Bell TV, they were asking $225 each. After my intervention, they dropped to $75, I said that might work but if they were not selling to drop to $50.
I left him my e-mail addy, he told me a week later that they were keeping one in the Store to show off the TV sets they were selling and he had hooked up an OTA antenna.
