I have a single HD Receiver, 6131, and can only seem to get Satellite 91, no 82, so no HD programming .... any thoughts?
Here is my setup & please tell me if I am doing something wrong: 1) Dual LNB Dish (500) connected to SW44 (outside) 2) 4 wires one side (1a,1b,2a,2b) from dish, one RG6 wire the other side (port 1) 3) RG6 runs into house next to TV & into power inserter (plugged into AC) 4) Power Inserter connects to 6131 & then 6131 to TV via HDMI cable My signal is at 90-93 %. I cannot figure out why I cannot see Satellite 82 ! Can anyone help? |

Just a hunch.
I have not yet checked as the dish was given to me and the SW44 was already connected to the 4 cables. Is there a specific order that the 4 cables must be connected that are coming from the LNBs ? The diagram in the book shows cables 119 (from one of the LNBs) connected to ports 1a & 1b and cables 110 (from the other LNB) connected to ports 2a & 2b. Would mixing any of these cause NO Satellite 82 ? Keep in mind I get all the SD channels & Satellite 91 is over 90% signal strength. |

Did you skew the dish at all? Try connecting direct from each LNB and see what satellite each is receiving.

My guess is the 82 LNBF is getting the 91 signals.
Follow the basics in the Installation threads, remove switch from the line (in your case, the Power Supply?inserter as well), now with a single line from 91 LNBF peak the signals. Connect the switch etc back and run a check switch. As previously mentioned, ensure the correct skew before doing any of the above. |

Either what Pinza said, the 4 cables are wrong....should be 91 to 1a and 1b 82 to 2a and 2b (thought I doubt that one) or your dish is pointed such that one satellite's LOS is obstructed and the other is not. Could possibly be a junk switch . I haven't dealt a whole lot with the legacy technology like you have other than service calls but I know it's pretty rare on the dish pro stuff.
