Default Looking for a turntable cartridge/stylus

I may be posting this in the wrong forum. Moderators, please feel free to move this to the appropriate forum.

I just received a Thorens TD-166 turntable, and I'm now looking for a cartridge and stylus for it. A quick search at Future Shop and Best Buy proved fruitless, but I was expecting that. I also checked out Audio-Video Unlimited in Coquitlam.

Amazon(dot)com shows stuff that could work, but I was hoping to hear from someone that knows for certain. Currently the turntable is equipped with a Shure M97HE (which is no longer available) but the tone arm wasn't anchored for shipping, and it was bouncing around during the trip. It appears to be OK, but the stylus is damaged.

The cartridge is mounted with what appears to be double-sided tape (I would expect two small bolts/nuts). The head-shell is not removable, so the new cartridge would also need to fit the same way.

I have used LP Gear for replacement parts. They seem to have a wide selection. So worth checking out. They may have other alternatives to offer.

Look for the Shure M97xE, which replaced it and is commonly available. I've got one that I alternate with a classic Grado cartridge for situations in which one's output may be superior to the other. Shure replacement stylii are available for 33/45 rpm but can also be found for 78 rpm.

Upon closer inspection, it appears that the "headshell" of the Thorens turntable can be disconnected half-way up the shaft of the tonearm. Once done, I could see that it uses a standard cartridge, so I'll go grab that Shure M97xe that Stampeder suggested from the website that pharsyde suggested. Thanks to all that responded.
