Jean-Pierre Blais does not appear to be a Robellus yes man based upon his resume.

Thanks goodness. He should start by asking for a new RC Act.

Me too. The man has a short memory when it comes to implementing consumer friendly mandates. I have no doubt he will do well personally after the favours he granted the broadcasting industry.

Lets see:

Life long bureaucrat at CRTC and Heritage Canada.
Lawyer by training who has zero track record of supporting pro-consumer initiatives.
Gone on record as supporting big media mergers such as Bell taking over CTV.

So a Gatineau lawyer who has been a bureaucrat all his working life who supports further consolidation of the Canadian media marketplace.

What's not to love?

i'm still waiting the conservatives to make US tv available in canada once again

I can't comment on his politics but his Curriculum vitae and public statements supporting big media takeovers certainly don't suggest someone who is right of center.
