Not 100% sure. I know that EastLink wasn't doing the simsubs at all. It was good old Rogers since EastLink in SW Ontario gets most of the HDs from their interconnect with them and they send them on their own network to the north. Wait and see I guess.Maybe they are getting them from Shaw now...don't know.

Maybe we shouldn't discuss here it case someone sees this.

So it seems FOX is still being simsubbed. But none of the other networks are.
Very strange.

Hmm....just noticed that now too, my wife is watching Glee on 623 but it is Global. They must still be using the Fox feed from Rogers right now.

If the other 3 nets are now from Shaw Broadcast, EastLink can change it to Fox Rochester, IMO!

I think it's unique that we get 3 different Fox channels.

I don't care what they do if it means no more simsubs.
Luckily for me, the only show I watch on Fox is Fringe.....and football.

Forgive my ignorance, but how/why are they using feeds from two different broadcasters?

What do you mean? Do you mean a different SD and HD affiliates for Fox East? If so, I don't think anyone really carries the SD version of Fox Detroit except Cogeco in Windsor and area.

If you mean Rogers/Shaw Broadcast, that's their choice. I know for example we get channels that Rogers doesn't have so they probably come from Shaw. There are channels we get from Rogers that aren't even on Satellite. I think of OLN HD as an example at least at one time since I'm not sure if Bell has it now..

Default I missed my favorite show on fox due to a sum-sub error.

I ended up missing my favorite show on fox called american due to a sum-sub error. It was simsubed by global by the wrong show and i didn't like it. that why i don't support the canadian tv czar rules.

another way that they want you to buy a digital cable or satellite box for extra cash that people don't have and the fact that they perfer using outdoor antennas for digital over the air station from the united states other than keeping analog cable that will be gone soon in New Glasgow.

I always record the west coast feeds of the U.S. nets on Sunday nights, especially because of sports that never fit in their allocated time. It's OK to record the eastern feeds if the U.S. and Canadian network are not showing any sports from 4 - 7 PM ET.

Fox West to the rescue... or even Global west.

I am very upset about Eastlink and the CTV about the simsub error on fox with global tv with the wrong show. what next, Remove analog cable access and take away analog over the air CTV and Global without a digital over the air replacement like the CBC did to 600 communities just to buy their digital cable and satellite boxes for $200 minimum. It like watching one show on all your TV.

The CRTC will always go too far and get away with it all the time about their unwanted simsubs and program deletion orders to cable companies.
