Does anyone know what the default Bell Aliant FibreOp Actiontec password is?
Is it admin? |

When you first log in to 192.168.2.1, it will ask you to set your router password.
The default wifi password should be on a sticker on the modem. |

When you go to log onto your router there is a "forgot" password button.
When you click that link it will ask you for the serial number on your actiontech router. (this is located on the router itsself) Once you confirm that it will allow you to set a new password. |

Yeah I know all that, but my router is mounted in between a bunch of other stuff next to my electrical panel, and I don't want to remove it to get the serial #.
I never set a user name or password. |

I know my install tech actually set a password on the wifi and then also set the ActionTec firmware password to the same thing. If all else fails, you could probably reset the firmware and that should erase any existing firmware password as well.

Try admin1 for both. I think the default is admin but it requires you to change it when it's first configured.

by default there is no password on the actiontec router, on first login you are asked to create one, so if the tech had to login to the router during the installation he would have set the password, by default you can not use the login name as the password therefore i think most techs use admin1 or password if those don't work you will have to use the lost password option w/ the serial number

Nope, you don't have to reenter such credentials to get onto the FibreOP network.

instead of resetting the modem, you could use the forgot password on the login screen, all it will ask you for if the serial number on the bottom of the modem, and it will clear the password.

The actiontec is fastened to the ont, very tight install. I don't want to start tearing stuff apart. I can't see the sticker without cutting the clips it is fastened with.
