I was looking on their site and it says i can dial canada or USA for .01 cent a minute. Sounds good, but has anyone used this and is it what it says it is? My main phone is a telus blackberry . Is there a long distance calling app for blackberry? Thanks

RedFlafgs has a thread asking the same question.
They ask a potential customer this. Quote:
Looks like a scam to me. |

There are a lot of calling cards, as far as I know all of them may be used with any device (as long as you register them) here's one example http://www.smartreach.ca/

pls send us a copy of the credit card and driver license and SIN card
Are they kidding? No one other than government services needs or has the right to ask for your SIN number. Most people now have no concept of the original intention of the government assigned SIN number. And most people give their number too freely. Why the heck would a "telephone" company need your SIN number? |

When I worked for Bell, we asked (and had the right to ask as anybody else does as well) for SIN numbers in order to do a credit check. We could also do a check without it if the customer had a major credit card. It isn't that nobody has the right to ask, it is that YOU have the right to not give it. That is a huge difference.

It's a great service actually. I've been using justdial for quite a few years. I have my account setup for auto top-up when it hits a certain level.
Over the years I've had to call customer service a few times to change credit cards, forgotten PIN, etc and always had good service. |
