Blocking a sales number

We get calls once or twice a day from a 'business' saying to call a particular number as a matter of urgency on an important business matter.

I have the number being called from..... is there a way on BA home phone to block this number ?

Sometimes it calls late at night or early in the morning and sometimes even leaves high pitched screeching tones on the answer machine.

These are automated calls so no point in just listing our home number on the usual place. I want to block it from even calling us.
