Nope, same issue here. I just assumed they needed a certain subscription so I never gave it a second thought.

I live in Burlington ON and when I go into any of these new multicultural channels all I see is "Not Authorised". Does that mean I have to subscribe to these separately?

Cheers

I believe so, Cogeco might be adding those channels to a multi-culture package for $5-10 per month? Don't quote me on this I'm not sure, you should give them a call/email and find out.

Usually that is correct. These channels are in theme packs.

That makes me glad I only speak English. I get that Canada tries to be this whole "we're multicultural" thing, but really, all I want is English.

And I want Turner Classic Movies in HD. Not holding my breath though - and I never seem to get a real answer from Cogeco as to why it isn't aired. I would prefer a simple "Turner wants too much so we aren't going to put it on" to nothing but gibberish.

Cogeco seems to have an issue with Time Warner. They don't carry HLN (On most systems), Peachtree, CNN HD or TCM.

You do realize they do not show any true HD movies on TCMHD right? Yes the PQ is a little better upconverted but just thought you should know this about TCMHD.

They have yet to have any HD films on that channel.

^jimbo42, Yup, I sure do know that. Dad has TCM and TCMHD with his Rogers plan. I watch it every time I visit. The HD is noticeably better so that's the one I would like. Willing to pay for it too.

^^bigoranget, You know I never connected the whole Turner package issue into one thought - and I should have. We lost Peachtree some time ago and I didn't put two and two together. Hell, I'd like HLN and CNN HD as well. You know, that would make a good bundle - put all the Turner channels together in a bundle and offer them as a bunch. I sure would like to know what Turner's asking prices are for their channels.
