So how is Access non HD channels, with a digital receiver, thinking of moving back to Access from Shaw. Better price if you bundle. 5 years ago the sd channels, 0 - 100 were terrible 200 up not bad i guess, not equivalent to satellite.

Some of them are over compressed and resemeble a bad web video. The former Dusk channel was like this. But the replacement channel ABC Spark is not so bad. I think that it may be partly a problem with their suppliers and some of the channels being over compressed on satellite. Some of the HD channels they pick up over satellite look flawed close up but the local channels in HD look acceptable close up. So it is either a case of over compression on Satellite or at Access head end. I have seen Shaw both shaw SD and HD channels as my parents have Shaw satellite. Most of their signals look decent. If you are looking at quality stay with Shaw. If you are more concerned about saving a few bucks every month then go with Access.

Well switched to Access, could not take the coinstant freezing and not recording with shaw PVR. Bell had a decent PVR but there prices were getting high, packaging channels you do not watch. Picture quality with shaw was really good.
