latest rumors indicate that al Qaida has /is infiltrating Syrian resistance which raises the question as to what western goals should be. In this article, Containing Syria, WMD is mentioned. I'm not sure what WMDs Syria actually has or where they are but before any real destabilization takes place the west may want to consider their containment. Supporting al Qaida while providing access to WMDs does not seem to be in anyone's best interest.
