Yep. I have the same issue. I have my 9242 connected by HDMI to my Yamaha RXV571 receiver. The receiver's output goes via HDMI to my Sony SXRD TV. When I listen to the sound via the receiver and its connected speakers everything is fine but when the receiver is off/in standby mode and I listen via the receiver's HDMI passthrough to the TV speakers the sound level varies a bit although it is only noticeable in a few instances. This has been going ever since the IPG was updated. I don't know if the two are related. Generally I have the receiver on when I watch TV. I only use the passthrough and the TV's own speakers when I'm watching a program where the sound isn't important such as the news or some shows that are mostly talk. That's why for me it's not a big issue.

Thanks reidw, ARE WE THE ONLY ONES WITH A DECENT ENOUGH SOUND SYSTEM TO ACTUALLY HEAR THIS?
OH btw, I believe this audio issue is related to the new IPG & or software up-date that came as a result of the new guide. Thanks Paul

For the last month or so my HD channels are pixelating and on occasion losing satellite signal on a 9242 I have upstairs. I am only getting 68 signal strength on the one upstairs, where my other 9242, which is hooked up to the same multi switch is getting 98-99. Swapped 9242 and the one from downstairs worked fine with the inputs from upstairs.
With both satellite inputs disconnected, I did a check switch. I then reconnected the inputs to the original 9242 from upstairs and did another check switch. I also bent the coax wire for both satellite inputs a little to insure good contact. , nothing has helped. Any other suggestions before I contact Bell Support. |

You have already discovered and proven the problem. 9242 signal was still garbage when you moved it to the known good line? Receiver.......

Ever since this new update rolled out my 9242 is pausing while playing pvr'd shows. And sometimes you can't skip back or rewind live tv. I've rebooted the darn thing 100 times but it just keeps happening. Anyone else having this issue?

Just whatever you do if you do get a guy out don't tell him you think it is the receiver or the man on the phone said it is the receiver. We get that song and dance about umpteen million times a month no matter what the fault turns out to be. Let him come to his own conclusion.
