Everytime I read my Microsoft Outlook email (Formerly Hotmail) it automatically signs me into the messenger service, my friends say I'm online, but I do not want to be online. When I need to go online I will sign in on my phone or tablet. how can I stop the messenger from auto signing me in?
i remember the old hotmail used to have a way to stop this, so when i switch back to hotmail to stop it, and when i go back to outlook after, it re-starts messenger, any idea? its damn annoying, i dont want my friends sending me msn message when im logged into check emails. |

When you are in Outlook, click on your name at the top right of the page. From there, click on Invisible.
I've tested signing out and back in, and it kept the setting to Invisible. |
