PVR Recordings disappear - Canadian TV, Computing and Home Theatre Forums

I had FibreOp installed last week and scheduled several programs for recording. After a few days I checked and it showed the programs had recorded......everything was working fine I thought.
Then the next day I went to play one and they were all gone ?? The same thing happened again a couple days later.

I had my settings set to "keep until I erase" so I don't think that's the problem.

I'm thinking I may have a defective PVR.

Just wondering if anybody else has had this happen to them ?

are you on the pvr itself? or are you on one of the other stbs?

Our PVR completely failed last night so I called Aliant this morning and they came out and replaced it today.
The tech told me there are a lot of recycled PVR's in service and we got a bad one. Hopefully things will work OK from now on.
